Julia Creek CSA
The Julia Creek Combined Sporting Association (CSA) is a local club promoting sport throughout the McKinlay Shire. The CSA facilitates sporting activities for the region and aims to maximise community involvement. Currently, there are five sub-committees underneath the CSA banner which include junior rugby league, senior rugby league, women's rugby, tennis, cricket and netball.
Also, an annual highlight on the CSA calendar is the annual Town vs Country match. This involves a game of rugby league between those who live in Julia Creek (town) and those on surrounding cattle properties or who live outside of Julia Creek (country). The day also consists of netball and rugby league for juniors and seniors and fosters great community spirit.
