Julia Creek Early Learning Centre
McKinlay Shire Council operate the Julia Creek Early Learning Centre which provides care for children aged 12 months to school age.
We offer a fully accredited and registered Kindergarten program including Free Kindy for all with an Early Childhood Teacher. Enriched, engaging, and fun early years program for 1-year-old to 4-year-old. Our programme and practice is informed and supported by the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and Queensland kindergarten learning guideline (QKLG).
In 2021 the service underwent an Assessment & Rating and was assessed as meeting the National Quality Standard for each of the seven Quality Areas. The rating notice can be accessed below:
The Centre is staffed with a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and other Educators are Diploma or Certificate III qualified.

Hours:
- Childcare operates Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm for children aged 12 months – 5 years;
- Kindergarten operates during School terms Tuesday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
Fees:
- Full day fee- $110.00
- Half-day fee- $85.00 (4 hours)
