Tech Savvy Regional Queensland
Council was recently successful in obtaining a grant from the State Library of Queensland through the Tech Savvy Regional Queensland program. This enabled Council to purchase a range of robotics equipment for community use through the Julia Creek Library. As part of the activities, Council wanted our country kids to have access to this equipment. Council staff liaised with MISOTA staff to come up with items that would be suitable for use at home and that the school could assist with in terms of support and resources. The kids now have the opportunity to use sphero, mBots, ozobot, drones and virtual reality headsets.
