Community and visitors were invited to attend the Re-Opening of the Duncan McIntyre Museum on the 15th July 2014.

The re-opening saw many attendees including students from the state school who were privileged enough to be shown through some of the permanently locked show case rooms by Historical Society member  Ms Shirley Eckford. Duncan McIntyre Museum  was originally opened in 1988 and Shirley took great pride in the re-opening giving thanks to her fellow committee member Ellen Sills who invested a lot of time in getting the displays ready and McKinlay Shire Council in being able to create a safe and accessible environment for all to appreciate.
